Making your own toothpaste may sound a little strange and somehow unorthodox, but in this post, I’m going to show you how you can make your own neem oil toothpaste, it’s very easy and will give you impressive results in terms of oral hygiene and freshness.
Some of the ingredients I’m going to share with you are quite strange, but trust me; they are all very important and are going to play an important role in giving you the best texture for your neem oil toothpaste.
Why making homemade neem oil toothpaste?
Not because neem oil toothpastes sold nowadays don’t work, they all do work, but because I’m really scared about using a product from a brand I don’t trust, and this is the problem with most neem products made nowadays, they come from unknown brands probably made in an unknown country or the Asian subcontinent, and trust me, this place is notorious for being of great health risks and hazards, some of the epidemics we have nowadays have come from that place and I don’t want to risk my health for some few dollars less.

Sahar, is there a brand of neem oil toothpaste you trust?
Yes, personally, I used to use THERANEEM ORGANIX neem toothpaste, it’s produced using neem bark and neem leaves, so, it’s not made with neem oil, however, it doesn’t contain dangerous chemicals and it smells and tastes wonderful.
Here are the ingredients you are going to need to make the best neem oil toothpaste:
- Half a cup of baking soda
- A quarter of a cup of extra virgin coconut oil
- Three tablespoons of organic neem oil
- Five tablespoons of xylitol
- And six drops of peppermint oil
In a double boiler, start by melting the coconut oil just a little, then add to it neem oil and the other ingredients while making sure you stir very well.
When you are done, you need to let it cool down and then put in a glass jar.
What is the best time to use neem oil toothpaste?
Personally, I use this amazing toothpaste two times a day, when I wake up, and in fact, just after my breakfast, and before I go to bed, I know I’m a little lazy, yet it works amazingly well at protecting and making my mouth smell so nice and fresh.
